Shoulder update

Today I had a post operative review with the surgeon. It was a fairly short appointment, mainly focused on recovery from surgery rather than on any long term stuff. He confirmed what I already knew, which is that the wounds are well recovered, that the internal recovery will still be ongoinng etc. He showed me his model of the shoulder and showed me where he'd shaved bone. We talked briefly about the long term and he really cant tell at the moment, we will discuss further at our next appointment, which will be about 2-3 months after surgery. There were some platitudes about how well people get on with shoulders in equivalent conditions etc.
It's all on the physio at the moment. I am back there tomorrow. Hopefully it will be less painful than the last session :)
I'm hoping he'll agree I am ready to try a bit of light swimming. The hotel we're in for 4 nights has a pool, and I would like to be able to use it. I'm pondering whether or not to try and get into the pool with Eddie this evening, but am slightly worried about my ability to get back out - there aren't steps for humans, because the pool isn't designed for humans.
So I still don't know much about the long term. Mid term, I feel a bit more with it as I know what happens now - physio, physio, physio, and be careful. This means 90% certain will be non-combatant at the Persia player event.
